Sunday Club Run

Four met at the millennium hall for a sunny January winter ride. Phil (some of you may remember him from the pre hibernation period), Nadine, Paul and it was lovely to be joined again by Ralph .

The stint from Birkie up to Newtyle was hard going into the wind and no one really seemed eager to be on the front. From Newtyle, the turn towards Glamis was very much welcomed and a lovely tailwind meant we were sailing along.

From Glamis, we turned up towards Kirrie and then on to Forfar where we stopped at the Golf Driving range for some well earned snacks.

As we were tucking into our rolls and coffees, Paul spotted a familiar figure rolling down the driveway, sweat beading from his forehead. It was Ian who had been chasing us since Birkie. Thankfully he finally caught up and was just in time to get a lovely cheese n onion quiche Salad for his efforts.

Bellies full, we parted ways as Ralph was needing to be home early. Four of us headed back past the whirlies then over Rochiehill and back towards Newtyle.

Phil was feeling the pain up Pitnappie but got to the top and survived where we all regrouped before heading for home

Another fantastic day out with good friends. The weather was great and the winter scenery didn’t disappoint.
