Bike & Blether Sunshine Outing
Bike & Blether sunshine outing! Nine of us made it out on a beautiful sunny morning for a fantastic road cycling route. James was already geared up with a French Legion style sun protector, so we knew it was going to be “scorchio”!
Our group eaded out to Lundie via Dronley, then through Coo Crossing (no Coos) to the Coupar Angus Rod and a good run down the mighty Tullybaccart. We encountered clear roads to Collace, with only one tractor and trailer which we stopped to let past.
Once on to the Dunsinane Glen Road, there was a good tailwind to help us along to Abernyte and to a café stop at the Antiques Centre. We all enjoyed takeaways to sit round at the outdoor snack shack (handy for keeping an eye on the bikes). Café rating: 7/10 - coffee and fruit scones were very good.
Back on the bikes, it was down the hill to the Rossie Priory turn and we headed through the estate (a first for Kenny), then up to the Knapp Road. Once we got to the Longforgan roundabout/junction, the group split for home with some headed to Invergowrie, and others headed north towards Fowlis and Birkhill.
A grand day to be out with great company!
